While many fans are worried that Bandai Namco will no longer push through with "Tekken X Street Fighter," there's a new update claiming that the creators of the game will go ahead with the planned release date.
While it did not mention the exact date, Uber Gizmo reported that it will most likely hit shelves in 2016.
According to Famitsu the game developers led by Katsuhiro Harada are now very busy with the game's progress.
"I've been saying this since before, but the fact of the matter is that we're at a pretty far stage into its development," Harada of "Tekken X Street Fighter" release date. "It might seem like we haven't started on it at all, but the character lineup has been decided upon since a very long time ago and we've already finished the polygon models, moves, and systems."
Harada added that his original plan for "Tekken X Street Fighter" was to be released earlier, but it has now been moved to a later date.
"It's very difficult to talk about," he said of the game's release date. "Obviously, I had originally planned to release it much earlier than we're currently looking at."
Furthermore, he teased that they are planning some sort of a surprise release for the game.
"People have been talking about the game for such a long time that they aren't going to be surprised if you just release it normally. I don't know if that's what we have planned, but we do plan to have some kind of surprise."
Meanwhile both "Tekken 7" and "Street Fighter 5" have yet to be released in new generation consoles and even PC, but it's expect that the games will soon arrive.
