Frances Bean Cobain, daughter of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, has tied the knot with long-time beau Isaiah Silva, who some say bears a striking resemblance to her late father.
E! News confirmed the reports last week and said that the couple had indeed married in secret. So secret in fact that even mom Courtney Love reportedly didn't know about it.
"Courtney loves Isaiah, but was devastated to learn that Frances had gotten married without her knowing," a source told the website, adding, "Courtney really likes Isaiah and is very happy for Frances. Courtney is sad she wasn't at the wedding."
Frances and Courtney's mother-daughter relationship has been a turbulent one, as evidenced by their four-year public feud. Does the wedding snub mean they're at it again? Apparently not.
According to E! News' source, Courtney got a call from her daughter after the ceremony "but understands why she did it."
"This has not caused a rift between mom and daughter," the source clarified, adding, "Courtney was sad, but she's cool and Isaiah is a great son-in-law."
The source also explained that the Frances Bean-Isaiah Silva nuptial has been in the works for over a year. Reportedly, 13 to 15 guest were invited and the 23-year-old took inspiration from daisies in mason jars as their wedding theme.
As Zap2It pointed out, the intimate ceremony is "reminiscent of when Kurt and Courtney wed in 1992 in front of only eight guests."
Silva, who, according to the UK's Mirror bears a remarkable resemblance to his late father-in-law, is frontman for American rock band The Eeries.
Per Zap2It, Bean made her producing debut with "Montage of Heck," a critically-acclaimed documentary about Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain which used rare audio recordings and his notebooks "to tell his quasi-autobiographical tale."
It featured an extensive interview with Courtney Love, who after seeing it reportedly hugged daughter Frances Bean and said, "I'm so sorry."
