Los Angeles Lakers may have had an awful 2014-15 season but the dark period also had some silver linings.
Although they failed to make the playoffs, some players rose to the challenge, making fans think they are the players worth keeping.
One of those who gave Los Angeles Lakers some hope last season was Wesley Johnson who averaged career highs in points and rebounds with the Lakers in his first year.
His great performances made some think that maybe Purple and Gold will keep him for the 2015-15 season. However, that is not what happened. Johnson wanted out and what could be the reason behind?
Wes Johnson, who signed with the Clippers, told OC Register said each of his day with the Lakers was filled with uncertainty and so when free agency hits, he knew that he wanted out of the team.
"You would go out there and want to play the right way, but everyone wanted to prove themselves," Johnson told the website.
"So nobody really knew what was going on. Nobody ever knew, so it was hard for anyone to come in and get into a good rhythm or flow. Nobody was playing together."
Johnson also discussed how Los Angeles Lakers system made him uncomfortable. He also pointed out the difference about Lakers and Clippers.
"I would be trying to play the flow of the game, but it was hard to get into the flow. You don't know what's going on," Johnson said about the Lakers' offense last season. "You want to come out there and touch the ball and sometimes it would go in spurts, but then you don't even get to touch it. You want to play off people but it's tough when you don't get the ball.
"Here, you have a clear mind going into the season (of what's expected), so it's going to be really helpful for me," Johnson said. "I know what to do and what to expect."
