'The Flash' Season 2 Release Date, Spoiler And More: Wesley Shipp To Get His Own Suit, Too?

| By

"The Flash" season 2 release date will arrive in just a few days and when it comes, audiences will start seeing more costumed characters in the show.

The most notable of which is Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears) who reports say will act as mentor to Barry Allen (Grant Gustin).

In the first season, Barry had three mentors. There is Prof. Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) who turned out to be possessed by Reverse Flash, CCPD colleague Detect. Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) who sheltered him after his mother died and father got jailed for it, and of course, his dad Henry (John Wesley Shipp) who gives him sound advice from time to time whenever he visits him in prison.

Among these three, Henry is the only who do not goes in action against meta human. With the way the show is paying homage to old CBS "The Flash" cast wherein Shipp played the title role, will there come a point that Henry Allen will wear a costume?

John Wesley Shipp seems to be not high on the idea. He even recalled the time when he and co-star Mark Hamill, who reprises his role as the Trickster in the 2014 CW superhero show, had a hard time about their costume.

"Oh God no! I remember the last episode we did in 1991," he told Comic Book Resources.

"We were with Mark Hamill at 5 am in some Godforsaken hole in Southeast Los Angeles, and I just ripped the ears off and threw them into the air. I couldn't wait," he explained.

"He almost lost his mind. He still has them! He went and got them. No, I wanted to get out of that suit. I'll contribute in any way the producers feel would be meaningful for the show, but am I dying to get back in the suit? Maybe it's a bit more comfortable now than it was. I hope for Grant's sake."

Probably Henry in a suit is unnecessary at this point unless the writers will come up with a way to incorporate it so it won't look stretched.

"The Flash" season 2 release date is Oct. 6. Other new speedsters are Wally West to be portrayed by Keiynan Lonsdale and Jesse Quick to be played by Violett Beane.
