Jeremy Clarkson To Film New ‘Top Gear’ Rival Amazon Show Soon With Richard Hammond, James May

| By

Last week, former "Top Gear" frontman Jeremy Clarkson shared some good news with fans. He, along with Richard Hammond and James May, will begin filming their new Amazon show in "a couple of weeks."

Clarkson shared the news on Twitter after a month-long absence on the social media site, according to The Guardian

The 55-year-old presenter said he has been "extremely busy" with co-presenter Richard Hammond and executive producer Andy Wilman on "putting [their] new show together."

"Much is already sorted," he added prompting many to wonder co-presenter James May's whereabouts.

In a follow-up tweet, "Jezza" assured fans all three of them will be involved in the new Amazon show and that filming will begin "in a couple of weeks."

Jeremy Clarkson's updates came after "Captain Slow's" remarks that the former "Top Gear" team have gotten nowhere on their new Amazon show.

Following reports that Clarkson's lawyers trademarked the name "Gear Knobs" and speculation it might be the title of their new show, May responded.

"We haven't got a name. We haven't decided on the content... any of that stuff. So, honestly, nothing, nothing has happened," he said, as quoted by the Irish Examiner.

"I'm not just saying that to put you off, I'd love to be able to say, 'Yes, it's called C**ks in Cars,' but it isn't," the 52-year-old said joking, "It's not a bad idea actually."

May, who is reportedly doing a BBC show titled "Building Cars Live," went on to say that they have "possibly found an office to work from."

Clarkson, Hammond and May announced their Amazon deal, allegedly worth £160 million, back in July. Last month, Hammond teased that their yet-to-be-named "Top Gear" rival will "do new stuff."

Jeremy Clarkson's new show is expected to premiere on Amazon Prime sometime in 2016.
