However, despite the unfortunate events in his personal life, Gwyneth Paltrow's ex-husband is reportedly trying to keep himself busy with his band, Coldplay, as they prepare to work on a new album.
Following the release of their somehow controversial "Ghost Stories" album last year, the British rock band is now reportedly gearing up for another one.
Mid-Day exclusively reported that the band led Chris Martin has just finished a music video shoot in Mumbai, which is speculated to be a part of their new album.
"The band will be shooting in different parts of Mumbai for their latest video, which will have something special for their Indian fans," the source claimed.
"They landed in Mumbai on Tuesday night and will be here just for a couple of days. Their upcoming video will have something special for their Indian fans."
The news collaborated with Sky News report claiming that Coldplay is actually looking forward to be doing a surprise new album release this year.
"The album is almost finished and the band are keen to get it out as soon as possible," the source allegedly said.
And as to what fans could expect of Coldplay's new album? Apparently, the new album will now feature more upbeat songs compared to their last album, which was reportedly reflected to Chris Martin's previous situation.
"The last record was so depressing because it was about Chris' split from Gwyneth Paltrow," the source continued. "But the new material is more upbeat with a pop feel."
"They have already finished eight tracks, which are all completely different."
