Following the huge success of "Random Access Memories," which earned Daft Punk a Grammy, the electronic funk duo is now reportedy gearing up for a new album.

Apparently, there have been hints that Daft Punk is indeed working on a new album.

According to Harder Blogger Faster, Paul Johnson has confirmed the news on his Facebook claiming that the new album is a "house" genre.

"Their working on a new house album right now Norman," Johnson teased fans on Facebook.

Johnson's work particularly his track, "Hear the Music," is known to be Thomas Bangalter and Guy-man de Homem Christo's inspiration in their music, which was reflected on the duo's "Teachers" track.

In addition, the electronic funk duo is reportedly going to launch their new album in Jay-Z's music streaming platform called Tidal, which the two reportedly also co-owns.

Before the new album news came out, Daft Punk was said to have tried to hold a concert in North Dakota's Devil's Tower National Monument.

However, due to legal issues involving the state, the concert was not allowed.

According to superintended, Reed Robinson, the state had to deny the concert because Devil's Tower National Monument is considered as a "sacrilegious" place where no musical shows should not be allowed, Stero Gum reported.

"This being a night skies park and a natural park and a sacred site to 24 different tribes, that would be considered sacrilegious and gets into that 'inappropriate use,'" Robinson said. "And that meant maybe we would have to close portions of the main trail to facilitate this kind of stuff."

Daft Punk on the other hand, has yet to comment on the said incident.
