Lost in the epic twist regarding the killer of Rebecca in "How to Get Away with Murder" season 2 episode one titled "She's Dying" is the plight Connor (Jack Falahee) is going through.
The charismatic law student sees his life going down with everything that is going on around him. There is the murder of Sam, his professor's husband, Rebecca who he believes is missing, and his boyfriend Oliver testing positive on AIDS. Oliver is also skeptical about Connor's feelings for him and so, the latter decided he will live with him in the same apartment.
That is huge move from Connor but does he really mean to live with Oliver? Series creator teased that in the next few "How to Get Away with Murder" season 2 episodes, the couple will meet several challenges regarding their relationship.
"It's going to be very typical of normal people who just move in with each other," Nowalk told The Hollywood Reporter shortly after the airing of "How to Get Away with Murder" season 2 episode one.
"Connor is taking this huge step and moving in with Oliver at this point - even without the HIV diagnosis, regardless of that, they haven't been together that long. They're not actually together together at this point, but he's doubling down on this relationship and that shows a sense of maturity and progressiveness. Oliver is scared because he has been left by Connor before and been betrayed, and right now he just needs someone he can trust. They're both just trying to do their best."
Although Connor is determined to prove that he is true to Oliver, the latter will remain adamant.
"That's Oliver's question - and he's smart and knows Connor really well, Nowalk added.
"That's a fear and we'll watch that develop. Whether this is the real Connor or idealized Connor. But it feels really good to believe that it's true."
