HTC Butterfly 3 And One M9+ Aurora Edition Launched For International Market, Price Starts At $600

HTC Butterfly 3 and the updated HTC One M9+ Aurora edition launched for the international market.

As to previous rumors, HTC has finally unveiled two flagship devices on its scheduled event in Japan today. The HTC Butterfly 3, which basically the HTC J Butterfly thatw as launched in May 2015, has paved its way outside Japan.

According to GSM Arena, HTC Butterfly 3 has a 5.2-inch QHD LCD display, and powered by a runs on 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 MSM8994 (quad-core 2GHz + quad-core 1.5GHz) SoC paired with 3GB of RAM and Adreno 430 GPU. Though HTC kept its internal storage at 32GB, its external storage has been expanded up to 200GB.

NDTV added, HTC Butterfly is IPX5/ IPX7 and IP5X certified, meaning it is a water and dust.

Camera-wise, it sports a duo set up camera wherein there's a 20MP rear camera and a secondary sensor. It boasts a Sapphire crystal-protected f/2.2 27.8mm-equivalent, and a dual-tone LED flash. On the front it has a 13MP front snapper with BSI sensor and f/2.0 aperture that can shoot videos up to 1080p, GSM Arena added.

The HTC Butterfky 3 price starts at $600 and will be available in Taiwan first, while its international release and price is yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, the HTC One M9+ packs the same 5.2-inch Quad-HD (1440x2560 pixels) display. Under the hood, is the unchanged 2.2GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6795T Helio X10 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage expandable up to 128GB through microSD card and backed by 2840mAh non-removable battery. The only difference it has from its predecessor is its revamped camera fearures.

"The new variant now features a 21-megapixel autofocus rear camera with OIS and an f/2.2 aperture. It still boasts a dual-lens design but now the secondary rear camera on top acts as the laser autofocus system.

The front-facing UltraPixel camera remains unchanged. For reference, the One M9+ includes a 20-megapixel shooter (f/2.2) rear camera with the secondary camera acting as the depth-sensor," NDTV wrote.
