Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting's marriage was short-lived after the couple had decided to split after only 21 months.
"The Big Bang Theory" actress had met her tennis player husband in 2013 and after only 3 months of dating, the couple tied the knot.
"We texted a little bit, dinner was great, and then he moved in the next day," the actress said of their whirlwind romance during her appearance on "David Letterman."
"It all did move quite fast on paper," Cuoco admitted. "But we really did know. And I know you're all thinking, 'She's nuts!' I swear I'm not nuts. We just fell in love,"
And in love they were! Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting filled their Instagram pages with photos that screamed "awesome marriage!" before deciding to split up a few days ago.
While posting cute couple selfies together may seem like a normal thing, however, one reporter implied that it could have contributed to Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting's marriage failure.
"Cuoco exuberantly blasted her feelings for the world to see! As so many others have done, for sure, but it was ... a lot," Natalie Finn wrote for E! Online.
Finn cited a study by Brunel University London, which says that people who are more likely to post information about their relationships are insecure about their relationships.
And Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting loved displaying their marriage on the internet. They even used Instagram to cut down then-rumors about their split last April.
So, had Instagram played a part in Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting's split?
Shortly Cuoco's rep announced that the couple had decided to end their marriage, photos of Ryan Sweeting were deleted from Cuoco's Instagram account.
"Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting have mutually decided to end their marriage," the actress' rep told ET. "They ask for privacy at this time. No further statement will be issued regarding this matter."
And considering there were lots of photos of the tennis player on her page, it seems that over-sharing and foregoing privacy for a couple of selfies may have taken a toll on Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting's marriage.
