Hype is slowly building up for "Marvel's Jessica Jones" Netflix series. Last week, a new trailer debuted teasing what to expect on star Krysten Ritter's titular heroine.
The trailer shows Jones still in bed at 3 p.m. After the alarm clock disturbs her sleep, she smashes it with her super-strength.
"Jones' disorganized lifestyle is also hinted at in the teaser, along with her apparent penchant for booze," Variety said.
Per the website, Minnie Riperton's "Loving You" playing in the background "ups the comedy factor."
Collider considered the trailer as a teaser since it reportedly doesn't include actual footage from the Netflix series, "but it does offer a brief tease of the vibe we might expect."
"Marvel's Jessica Jones" follows the titular superhero-turned detective. The upcoming Netflix series is based on the "Alias" comic book series and is set after its conclusion and the opening of her detective agency, Alias Investigations, according to iDigitalTimes.
Still, executive producer Melissa Rosenberg hinted that fans may see Krysten Ritter in costume.
Alleged "Jessica Jones" episode titles were leaked last month "and they hint toward what could be some good TV," iDT said.
As for what to expect, co-creator Brian Michael Bendis raved about the Netflix series describing it as "just like the comics on their best day." Rosenberg also said that "Jessica Jones" will be "very different" from the highly-successful "Daredevil." Marvel TV boss Jeph Loeb described the series as "a psychological thriller."
"Jessica Jones" and "Daredevil" will exist in the same cinematic universe. Marvel and Netflix also has "Luke Cage" and "Iron Fist" in the pipeline. All four superheroes will then team up for "The Defenders."
The new trailer follows the batch of official "Jessica Jones" cast photos as well as the announcement trailer from Netflix.
All 13 episodes of the "Marvel's Jessica Jones" Netflix series will be available for online streaming on Nov. 20. Check out the "Good Morning" trailer below:
