Should fans just wake up when September ends for Frank Ocean to finally release his much anticipated new album?
The "Thinkin Bout You" singer first announced that he'll be releasing his album titled "Boys Don't Cry," in July.
However, for some reason that did not push through, August came, still no album, now September is about to end and and it's not only his album that's missing, Frank Ocean himself has yet to be seen in public.
As days pass by fans are starting to think that Frank Ocean may no longer release his new album.
In fact some have related the recent celestial event to the delay of Ocean's new record.
Some have even accused the government that the Red Moon Total Lunar Eclipse is the reason for them to be distracted and stop looking for the album, Australia Network News reported.
While some are now convinced that Ocean has completely ditched his new new album, others believe that he could just be preparing for a big surprise release, which has been done by many famous artist including Beyonce and Coldplay.
Together with his album, Frank Ocean is also MIA. In fact, he is supposed to perform at FYF, but the balladeer decided to back out.
His reps however, released an official statement explaining the reason behind his exit, Billboard reported.
"Frank Ocean has decided on his own terms to cancel his appearance," it said.
"With a lineup that already includes Morrissey, D'Angelo and the Vanguard, FKA Twigs, Chet Faker, Flume, Belle & Sebastian and more, FYF Fest is excited to have Kanye West play this weekend in his newly adopted home of Los Angeles."
His decision to bail out of FYF immediately led people to worry about his real condition, The Verge reported.
"As may already be obvious to you, it is no longer July," the report stated. "It is also no longer the month after July. It is, in fact, September, and people are starting to get worried about the location and well-being of Mr. Ocean."
While the fate of Frank Ocean's new album remains a mystery, The Fader reported that are already a number of artists who are supposed to collaborate in his new album, including Hit-Boy and Rodney Jenkins.
Bet added that renowned pianist Christophe Chassol has worked with Frank Ocean and Rick Rubin in Abbey Road for the new album.
"Ocean invited me to Abbey Road to record on his album," Chassol revealed. "I asked him how he heard about me. He told me his friend Diplo was listening a lot to [my album] Indiamore, and they started to listen to it, and they were wondering how I was doing the speech harmonization, so he called me. He asked me to do some speech harmonization on a song with him."
