Fans were finally able to see the return of "Empire" during its season 2 premiere last week.
While everyone assumed that Cookie will finally be able to take over Lucious' empire, it seemed like she has to overcome more challenges still.
After Mimi ditches her for Lucious in episode 1, Cookie will reportedly leave Empire and start her new label company, Design & Trend reported.
"Cookie, Hakeem and Andre are officially leaving Empire Entertainment. As you can see in the official trailer, Cookie is planning to start her own company," the publication stated.
Episode 2 will also see Hakeem trying to find his way out of Empire as he decides to leak his album, which upsets Jamal.
Meanwhile, Lucious despite being in prison will still be able to record a track as he hires a new lawyer.

"Cookie and her cohorts decide to start their own small record label, but their opposing visions make for a bumpy start to the venture. Meanwhile, Hakeem woos a hot Latina singer for the girl group he wants to form; Lucious hires a new lawyer and records an epic track from inside jail; and Jamal proves to be just as ruthless as his father when making business moves."
