"How to Get Away with Murder" season 2 episode one, just like those tht were aired before, did not end without a shocking cliffhanger.
Although the main highlight of the second season's pilot episode is the naming of Rebecca's killer, the last few minutes choked the hell out of the audiences since it involves possible death of the most important character.
Another death is looming around as the "How to Get Away with Murder" season 2 episode one ended with Viola Davis' Annalise Keating soaking in her own blood. So the show answered one of its mysteries but then just replaced with another, probably the biggest of the new season.
With this development, some critics think "How to Get Away with Murder" is starting to look like another crime drama instead of legal series.
That might be the case for some but if it's series co-creator Peter Nowalk who will be asked, his show is more like a mob story. (via the Hollywood Reporter)
Lila was killed. Sam was killed. Rebecca was killed. Annalise was shot. Will the series continue to be like a game of dominoes where each murder is covered up with another?
I think of it more like a mob show. That's what happens in a mob show and Annalise is a sort of a mobster in her own way. I think she's even a cooler mobster because she doesn't have a mob to back her up. The stakes get higher and higher with covering up the murder. That's very true to the story. Things are going to get more and more complicated. Things don't get less complicated as you cover up a murder; they just get more complicated.
Annalise is the mob boss. Who is the mob? The Keating 5 of course. Nowalk said the theme of "How to Get Away with Murder" season 2 is Annalise sort of controlling her students.
"Yes! Usually a mob leader has a lot of power over their underlings and that's a theme we'll explore this season," he said.
"How to Get Away with Murder" season 2 episode 2 is called "She's Dying." Read episode guide below.
"Annalise and her team are blindsided when investigators try to pin a new charge on the wealthy siblings she's been hired to represent. Meanwhile, things for Annalise become even more difficult when she's brutally cross-examined on the witness stand during Nate's preliminary hearing."
