HTC One M9e passed TENNA certification, but reportedly packs disappointing specs.

HTC is gearing up for its scheduled event in Japan. It is expected that the Taiwan based phone manufacturer will unveil two flagship phones as "dual flagships" was indicated on its invites.

The HTC Butterfly 3 and HTC Aero are expected to debut at the said event. However, new leaks claim that another device will be launch alongside with the aforementioned upcoming smartphones, GSM Arena reported.

Recently, an upcoming HTC phone dubbed as One M9e popped up on TENAA and its listings reveal a full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) LCD display with a pixel density of 441ppi and measures 9.6mm thick.

The TENAA listing also revealed that it will have a 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. Camera-wise, there will be a 4-megapixel front-facing UltraPixel camera and a 13-megapixel rear camera.

Android Headlines. added that the "device will be powered by a 64-bit octa-core SoC running at 2.2GHz, which is likely to be MediaTek's Helio X10 SoC."

As for its network connectivity feature, it will support 4G and LTE. Also, it will be shipped with Android 5.0.2 Lollipop pre-installed.

On the other hand, the HTC One A9 leaks suggest that will be available in Acid Gold, Opal Silver, Deep Garnet, Carbon Gray, Cast Iron, and Rose Gold variants.

Reportedly, the HTC One A9 paid a visit to Geekbench recently, dubbed as HTC Aero, it was listed on the benchmarking site packing a MediaTek Helio X20 deca-core processor paired with a hefty 4GB of RAM, just like the Acer Predator 6 gaming phone, Digital Trends reported.

"The HTC One A9 will apparently utilize either a Mali-T880 MP4 or MP6 GPU for graphics. In addition, the device will come backed by 4 GB of RAM. With this SoC, MediaTek has upped the ante in the battle for powerful processors," IB times wrote.
