He may be an Oscar-winning actor but Eddie Redmayne is not immune to nerves, especially that he is playing the lead role in the anticipated "Harry Potter" spin-off movie, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them."
The "Harry Potter" franchise has millions of fans all over the globe so it's only natural that Eddie Redmayne is nervous about his role in "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," the spin-off movie of the extremely successful franchise.
In an interview with E! News during the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of his movie, "The Danish Girl," Redmayne said he does not want to "screw it up."
"The stakes are high because they (Harry Potter movies) were so good before. You don't want to screw it up," Redmayne said. "It's a complete privilege for me. I love J.K. Rowling. I love the Harry Potter films (and) books so for me this is just the most wondrous gift, really."
Eddie Redmayne, although excited about the "Harry Potter" spin-off movie, said he is not allowed to reveal any further details yet.
"I want to disclose everything but I literally cannot tell you anything," Redmayne said. "All I can say is that I'm having the most wonderful time and J.K Rowling has written something utterly wonderful."
The "Les Miserables" actor also expressed his admiration towards "Harry Potter" and "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them" author, J.K. Rowling.
"We only had an hour before she was going away and we just talked character quite intensively," Redmayne said. "Her knowledge of my character's backstory and the intricacies of it all were really inspiring."
Meanwhile, Hogwarts alum Daniel Radcliffe, who played the boy wizard and hero of the wizarding world in all eight "Harry Potter" films, said he is excited to see the spin-off movie.
"I'm excited to see them, especially with Eddie," Radcliffe told E Online. "He's awesome. I think it'll be fantastic. I'm intrigued to see what they're going to do."
