'The Flash' Season 2 Release Date, Spoiler, And More: WTH Moment In Premiere Awaiting Fans

| By

"The Flash" season 2 release date is near and the series of teasers from the show only make things worse.

From the arrival of Jay Garrick to the appearance of a new villain, fans can't help but feel more excited about the return of the Scarlet Speedster on the boob tube.

Some television critics have already seen the pilot of the show and one of them summed summed it up in three words - What the Heck. One will only wish for "The Flash" season 2 release date to arrive now.

"I got around to it the other day, and by and large it is quite satisfying," TV Line's Matt Webb Mitovich said when a fan asked for "The Flash" season 2 premiere scoop.

"You will (eventually) see exactly how the "singularity" was dealt with, and why that seeming victory has, sadly, splintered Team Flash in multiple directions."

Mitovich also talked about BROMANCE, Caitlin Snow's transition into Killer Frost, and more.

"A highly entertaining bromance gets a big boost, one could argue that the foundation for Caitlin's fated alter ego is laid, and there is a montage toward the end that is simply wonderful and loaded with heart. All that said, I'd be lying if I didn't acknowledge a major "What the heck?" moment in the penultimate scene, a zag that actually had me yelling, "What the heck?" (or saltier words to that effect) at my laptop screen."

"The Flash" season 2 release date is October 6 and among the biggest highlights are the introduction of new speedster Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears) who will also act as a mentor to the Flash, new villain, and Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) feeling guilty about what went down in the finale. There will also have crossover episodes with "Arrow" as confirmed by executive producers.

Returning actors are Candice Patton, John Wesley Shipp, Danielle Panabaker, Carlos Valdes, Tom Cavanagh, and Jesse L. Martin.
