While HBO has insisted that Jon Snow is dead in "Game of Thrones," his fate in the books could be different.
It can be noted though that Jon Snow suffered the same fate in the ending of "A Dance with Dragons," but Huffington Post claimed a possible change in his fate come "Winds of Winter's" release date.
According to the publication, author George R.R. Martin has teased the fate of Jon Snow in the books claiming that Martin answered "Oh, you think he's dead, do you?" When asked about Snow's fate.
Furthermore, he also reportedly told fans that they "should know better than to take anything as gospel."
And while he did not mention anything about "Winds of Winter" release date, George R.R. Martin reportedly said in a Q&A at the Sasquan science fiction convention in Spokane that characters from the hit "Game of Thrones" series will not share the same fate as with his books, Geekwire reported.
"Anything is possible," he said.
Meanwhile, Alejo Cuervo, editor of Ediciones Gigamesh, revealed Lossie Tereinos via The Week, that "Winds of Winter" release date is going to happen next year.
"The difference between the release dates of the Spanish version and the English version are not expected to be much, as the manuscript will be made available to the Spanish publishers well before the book is out in the market," the article said.
While he did not reveal the exact release date of "Winds of Winter," he assured fans that it will happen next year "unless a meteor should fall."
"It's planned for next year," Cuervo assured. "They have promised us that they will give us the manuscript before the release date in English, but it won't be a big difference [between the dates]."
While George R.R. Martin has remained quiet about the novel's release date, he previously told Entertainment Weekly that he's aiming for "Winds of Winter" release date to be launched prior to "Game of Thrones" season 6 airs.
"I wish it was out now. Maybe I'm being overly optimistic about how quickly I can finish," he explained. But I canceled two convention appearances, I'm turning down a lot more interviews-anything I can do to clear my decks and get this done."
