Why Scarlet Witch Is Not Taking Sides In 'Captain America: Civil War' Teams? Elizabeth Olsen Tells All

| By

After Jeremy Renner tweeted photos of what supposed to be "Captain America: Civil War" teams, some fans can't help but notice that Scarlet Witch (ELizabeth Olsen) was not on the picture.

While Captain America and Iron Man have their members all lined up, it's obvious that Scarlet Witch hasn't chosen a team yet.

And while it's pretty obvious which team Scarlet Witch will choose, following scenes from "Avengers: Age of Ultron," where she completely blamed Iron Man for the death of her parents, her missing in the photo art caused confusion.

Fortunately, it did not take long for Elizabeth Olsen to shed light on the matter.

Talking to Comic Book Resources, Olsen revealed why she has yet to decide which "Captain America: Civil War" teams she's siding on.

"She's okay," Olsen answered when asked how Scarlet Witch is doing following the events of "Avengers: Age of Ultron."

Despite her obviously despising Iron Man, Olsen admitted that the death of her brother, Quicksilver, and her being new to the team has made her all "confused and conflicted."

"She's doing alright. She's confused, she's conflicted. She's found some people she thinks she connects with, but she's doing alright. They released images of Team Cap and Team Iron Man. She wasn't there. She's always the wild card. I like being the wild card."

While she's completely aware that Scarlet Witch is not going to take sides in the movie, Elizabeth Olsen is confidnet that "Captain America: Civil War" is going to be the best in the franchise, Premiere reported.

"I think [Captain America: Civil War is] going to be the best one. For real, I am very excited to see it myself," Olsen teased. "I only worked on set for five weeks. So I wasn't there for the majority of it."

Meanwhile, she was also able to spill the beans on the movie's new villain.

And while the line up for "Captain America: Civil War" teams have already been settled, Elizabeth Olsen reminded everyone that there's actually a real villain in the movie.

"[Daniel] Brühl is an incredible actor and he's playing the main villain in it," she revealed. "And he's incredible! It's a movie about people as opposed to robots this time. So it's darker and it's allowed to be darker because it gets more in the mindset of humans rather than machines."

"Captain America: Civil War" teams are divided into Team Captain America and Team Iron Man called Anti-Registration and Pro-Registration respectively.

Steve Rogers aka Captain America (Chris Evans) is with Anti-Registration, which includes, Bucky Barnes aka The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), Sharon Carter aka Agent 13, Sam Wilson aka Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Scott Lang aka Ant-Man (Paul Rudd).

While Tony Stark aka Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) belongs to Pro-Registration with Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), James Rhodes aka War Machine (Don Cheadle), T'Challa aka Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) and Vision.

In addition to Elizabeth Olsen playing Scarlet Witch, "Captain America: Civil War" will also see the debut of Spider-Man, whose side also remains a mystery until now.

"Captain America: Civil War" hits theaters on May 6, 2016.
