While it's never been confirmed, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt's gender preference has long been questioned by numerous publications.
The nine-year-old daughter of famous Hollywood stars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie made its name in the entertainment industry through her radical preference when it comes to clothing.
Thus, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt is constantly rumored as a transgender kid. Without specifically confirming the rumors, Brad Pitt once claimed in an interview with Oprah that Shiloh wanted to change her name to John instead.
"She only wants to be called John. John or Peter, so it's a Peter Pan thing. So we've got to call her John," he said, adding that when he starts to call her by her given name, she corrects him.
"So you know, it's just that kind of stuff that's cute to parents, and it's probably really obnoxious to other people."
Angelina Jolie on the other hand, has reportedly told Daily Mail that she strongly believed that there's nothing wrong with Shiloh's preference.
"I don't think it's for the world to interpret anything. She likes to dress like a boy and wants her hair cut like a boy and she wanted to be called 'John' for a while," she told the publication.
"Some kids wear capes and want to be Superman and she wants to be like her brothers. It's who she is. It's been a surprise to us and it's really interesting, but she's so much more than that - she's funny and sweet and pretty."
And while the couple seemed to be very supportive of Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, Radar Online reported that Brad and Ange have asked the help of a specialist because they are worried that their daughter will be bullied.
"Brad and Angelina were only coming from a place of love and only wanting the best for Shiloh," an insider reportedly revealed to Radar. "They want Shiloh to feel loved and secure."
Accordingly, Brad thinks that Shiloh's older brothers, Pax and Maddox are greatly influencing her.
"Shiloh is very headstrong, and has insisted on wearing boys' clothes for more than six years," the source explained. "Brad was concerned having two older brothers was perhaps influencing Shiloh, and wondered if she would do so if there were no boys in the family."
And while they strongly support their daughter, the expert reportedly assured Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie that they're not doing anything wrong as parents and that "it's just the way Shiloh is."
"Brad was told Shiloh would have gravitated towards dressing as a boy, and being called John, even if her siblings were all girls," the source explained. "It's just the way Shiloh is, and there is nothing per se that they did wrong as parents."
Moreover, the expert reportedly praised both Brad and Angelina for trying to provide quality time for their kids despite their busy schedules.
"Brad and Angelina try to spend one-on-one time with their six children, and the expert commended Angie for recently taking Shiloh with her on humanitarian visit to Syria."
"The worst thing Shiloh's parents could do would be to force her to wear dresses and play with dolls," the source added. "This is the last thing Brad or Angelina would ever do and they felt better knowing letting Shiloh pick out the clothes she wants to wear, and just not making a big deal about it, is the best thing."
