"Legends of Tomorrow" cast family continue to grow.
After announcing that "Mr. Robot actress" Stephanie Corneliussen has been enlisted for the show as Negative Woman, the upcoming CW superhero series revealed Peter James Francis joins the show as Dr. Aldus Boardman.
The name might not sound familiar to DC Comics fans but he will be essential in the show, particularly to the storyline involving Carter Hall a.k.a. Hawkman (Falk Hentschel).
"Peter Francis James has been cast in the role of Dr. Aldus Boardman on DC's Legends of Tomorrow," ComicBook.com wrote in its exclusive report.
"The character, who appears to be unique to the TV show, will first appear in the Arrow crossover episode, then continue in the role on DC's Legends of Tomorrow."
The report added that James' character could be the key for Hawkman to meet other superheroes in the show.
"The character isn't one we recognize from DC mythology, but St. Roch University is indeed something that has previously existed in Hawkman lore," it further wrote.
"It sounds a bit like he may be a good way to facilitate the relationship between fellow academic Ray Palmer and Carter Hall, his longtime best friend in the comics."
Peter Francis James' casting came less than 24 hours since Stephanie Corneliussen was added as Negative Woman/Valentina Vostok, a Russian patriot who will do everything to defend her country. TV Line reports heroes will meet her when they fly to the past and will suspect her of working under Vandal Savage (Casper Crump).
Main "Legends of Tomorrow" cast members are Victor Garber as Professor Martin Stein and one half of Firestorm along side Franz Drameh's Jay Jackson, Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer / The Atom, Caity Lotz as Sara Lance / White Canary, Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter, Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory / Heat Wave, Wentworth Miller as Leonard Snart / Captain Cold, and Ciara Renée as Kendra Saunders / Hawkgirl.
