As early as now, television viewers are already excited about "Mr. Robot" season 2 release date.
Why not? The show is one of the hottest shows this summer.
The whole first season, comprised of 10 episodes, received critical acclaim and has a rating of 98 percent in review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes.
USA Network hasn't released any official statement about its next year's line up. Even legal drama "Suits" season 5 don't have a return date yet after airing its mid-season finale this month. However, news sites claim "Mr. Robot" season 2 release date is set on June or July next year, the same month it debuted this year.
"Mr. Robot" season 2 release date has been rumored to be slated in June to July of 2016," Your Health Mag wrote.
The show, starring Rami Malek and Christian Slater, ended on Sept. 2. Series creator Sam Esmail said in an interview long before the first season ended that everything audience saw so far are meant to set up a bigger and broader second season.
"I don't even consider what we're doing this season to be that huge. It was just the setup for the real story which really begins next season, which would have been Act 2 of our film," he said in an interview with Huffington Post last month.
Although it is already confirmed that Slater's character is just part of Elliot's imagination, he is not going anywhere. Slater even described Elliot and Mr. Robot's relationship as Bruce Banner and Incredible Hulk.
"The way Sam described it to me - but honestly, I have the same question - he said, 'Elliot without Mr. Robot is like Bruce Banner without the Hulk," Slater told EW in a separate interview when asked about his character fate in "Mr. Robot" season 2.
"Whenever Elliot is backed into a corner or needs some information or feeling scared. There are going to be times when Mr. Robot is going to have to take over and be that slightly more fearless, maybe more dangerous and crazier character. And there are a lot of secrets that Mr. Robot still possesses. Elliot doesn't necessarily know that he has the answers himself, but I don't think Mr. Robot is going to let on until he's ready for Elliot and his abilities to be able to deal with those answers."
