Nick Jonas sparks gay rumors as he plays a homosexual role in Ryan Murphy's new TV series, "Scream Queens."
Jonas recently talked about his character in the said show, "Boone."
"Boone is very intense," the former Disney star told ET. "He's got a lot under the surface that you don't see at first, and it all unravels as the show goes on."
Nick Jonas' gay role in "Scream Queens" is not the first that has played the past year. In another hit TV series, "Kingdom," the singer-actor plays "Nate Kulina," a homosexual MMA fighter who comes from a dysfunctional family.
"I've been so honored to play some really strong gay characters," Jonas said of his gay characters in "Scream Queens" and "Kingdom."
"For Boone, in particular, and this show as a whole, everything is not as it seems," He went on. "So I would say get ready to be surprised by a lot of different things. In his heart of hearts, that may be who he is, but we'll have to find out as we watch."
Perhaps because of Nick Jonas' convincing portrayals that rumors of his real sexuality have been questioned in recent years.
Previously, Jonas was accused of "using his body to bait the gay community" by posing half-naked in magazines.
"Everyone's entitled to their own opinion," Jonas responded to the accusation. "I think it's unfortunate that some people have to find a negative in every situation. Clearly my heart is in the right place, and more than anything, if they just looked at my life and my gay friends and the authentic nature of where my heart is, they'd just see that they're kind of ignorant."
To further fuel rumors that Nick Jonas is gay, in 2014, a video of him stripping his clothes to show off his rock hard abs in a gay bar circulated the internet.
Gay or not gay, however, Nick Jonas has proven to be a versatile and very promising actor and singer.
