If all goes well, "Charlie's Angels 3" could be another one of Drew Barrymore's movies. At the same time, the actress shot down rumors of "ET 2."
Speaking to the Toronto Sun, Barrymore said there are currently talks about making a sequel to 2000's "Charlie's Angels" and 2003's "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle" but it better happen soon.
"I'm like, 'We'd better do this before we're all in a wheelchair,' because that's more of like the 'Naked Gun' version," she said.
But for the next instalment to push through, Barrymore revealed scheduling conflicts will have to be resolved first.
"Everyone's life is in a very distinct place, and movies are not the universe of a bunch of people who were involved in making the first two. So it's tricky, but we talk about it very seriously."
The "Charlie's Angels" movies starred Drew Barrymore, along with Lucy Liu and Cameron Diaz. The action comedy film follows the trio of crime-fighting women who work for a private investigation agency. It is based on the 1970s television show of the same name.
In the same interview, Barrymore also debunked rumors saying that a sequel to the 1982 classic "E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial" is happening. Directed by Steven Spielberg, the film gave the then seven-year-old actress her breakout role.
"He does not ever want to make a sequel to that," the 40-year-old actress said.
"He didn't at the time, and he doesn't now. That would be really weird."
The mother-of-two was attending the Toronto International Film Festival where her latest film, "Miss You Already," premiered. Starring opposite Toni Collette, the drama follows the story of lifelong friends Jess (Barrymore) and Milly (Collette) in dealing with the latter's breast cancer.
The film also stars Dominic Cooper, Jacqueline Bissett and Paddy Considine. Drew Barrymore's latest movie "Miss You Already" hits theaters Nov. 6.
