'Vikings' Season 4 Releasse Date, Spoiler, And More: Rollo's Death, Ragnar-Aslaug Split & More

| By

"Vikings" season 4 release date is yet to be announced and that is painful for the followers of the fans who are aching to see the Northmen in action again.

The History Channel hit show is expected to air its first episode by first quarter next year. Meanwhile, fans can feast themselves with these spoilers/rumors that include probable death of one of the main characters and split of the not so well-received couple.

When "Vikings" season 4 release date arrives, the Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) people will see is a full grown man who can make decisions for himself.

The heir apparent of king Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel) will have a much active role in the raids they will conduct. He will also be forced to make hard decisions including disowning his own uncle Rollo (Clive Standen). It might also come to the extent of killing him.

"He's so hurt and he's going to kill him. In his eyes, there's certain things you can't forgive," he said in an interview with Zap2It.

"The fact is he turned his back on [Bjorn] and our entire community for himself and there's no coming back from that. Bjorn is so straight-edge in that when he makes a decision, he sticks to it."

Ludwig is talking about Rollo's decision in the third season finale to side with French royals and marry a princess. Clive Standen told Entertainment Weekly last month that the Rollo people will see in fourth season is different.

"We're going to see a completely different Rollo, if he's ever going to conquer Paris and conquer the princess," Standen said. "He has to be far more cerebral, he has to be on his A-game all the time, and his attitude to Ragnar has to change. He can't always be in the doldrums of being this second-best brother that's in the shadows."

While Rollo-Bjorn beef make waiting for "Vikings" season 4 release date more painful for fans, here is something they will surely like.

In another spoiler/rumor from Masters Herald, it is believed that the new season of the History Channel original TV series will also see the break up of Princess Aslaugh and Ragnar Lothbrok who most "Vikings" fans would rather see beside first wife Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick).

"Because of the fascination of Ragnar over Yidu, it will eventually cause the breakup of the King and his wife, Aslaug, played by Alyssa Sutherland, according to latest rumors," Master Herald wrote.

"While this particular plotline has yet to be confirmed by the showrunner, it may have a leg to stand on nonetheless."

Which of these are true and which one is just mere speculation? Find out when TV series "Vikings" returns next year.
