Erin Solari of New Orleans decided to share a very heartfelt moment with the world.
In a video that is now going viral, Solari’s grandfather, 92-year-old Howard Serena, is seen singing “You’ll Never Know” to his dying wife, 93-year-old Laura, in a hospital room, according to ABC News.
“We knew that this was probably the last time, so we wanted to capture that moment,” Solari told ABC News.
“It was really loving.”
Laura reportedly currently suffers from dementia. The couple reportedly have nine children and 18 grandchildren.
“For me, right after the video, I was so overcome,” added Solari.
“I broke down and started crying. I was so happy that I'd captured this moment for my family. It touched me, so it doesn't surprise me that it touched other people as well."
There’s a very special reason Howard decided to sing this specific song to his wife.
"This was the song my grandmother would sing when my grandfather went away to fight in World War II. It has been their love song ever since," Solari explains in the caption of the video, according to E! News.
“She is 93, he is 92, and they have been married for 73 years! Now he is the one singing to her as she prepares to go away."
The moment is beautiful and will never be forgotten. The video has garnered over 1 million views after being uploaded just two days ago.
“I’m proud to say I shed manly tears for this. I started to believe in love now,” commented one YouTube user.
