Benedict Cumberbatch's son became an Internet sensation even before fans saw a full photo of his face.
With the "Sherlock" star's preference of keeping his private life under wraps, his wife, Sophie Hunter, and newborn son have been flying under the radar ever since the baby's birth last June.
The couple's very scarce presence in the media prompted several people to suggest that they could already be well past the honeymoon stage of their marriage. They were married in a private ceremony at a small church in the Isle of Wight last Feb. 14.
According to Star Magazine's sources (through Celebrity Dirty Laundry), Hunter is already resentful of her husband's successful acting career.
"They bicker all the time. Instead of his success bringing them joy, it has completely gone to his head," the publication reportedly quoted an alleged source as saying.
However, the rumors were quickly doused earlier this week. The entire Cumberbatch family stepped out for a stroll in London earlier this week, in the midst of his success on the theater stage as William Shakespeare's "Hamlet."
The Daily Mail noted that Benedict Cumberbatch held his son reportedly named Christopher Carlton Cumberbatch, like a "doting father" as they walked around the city.
"He appeared every inch the doting father, with the baby resting peacefully on his shoulder. The fact they were both wearing blue outfits completed the picture," the article pointed out.
In some photos, the Academy Award nominated actor could be seen making faces at his first born inside the baby carriage while his wife walked beside him.

Sophie Hunter and Benedict Cumberbatch also brought their son back to Isle of Wight to have him christened in the same church that they were married in, further dispelling rumors of discord within the new family.
Despite accusations of the actor not having enough time for his wife and three-month-old baby, he was spotted by The Sun carrying a "changing bag" for little Christopher.
