"No Man's Sky" release date has been the subject of so much speculation but in the end, only developer Hello Games known when the game will come out. But with an exclusive preview at the New Yorker Festival, more details could be unveiled by then.
As reported by Design & Trend, a page for the event went up at the festival's website. Reportedly, Hello Games' Sean Murray will talk with writer Raffi Khatchadourian and give an exclusive preview of "No Man's Sky."
The 90-minute talk, titled "Blast Off," will take place on Oct. 3 at 1 World Trade Center in New York. Tickets are already available for $45.
It wouldn't be the first time Murray and Khatchadourian talked about the game. Back in May, D&T covered an article on the game written by the latter.
Officially, the "No Man's Sky" release date is set for later this year. The upcoming adventure-survival video game has been confirmed for the PlayStation 4 and PC. So far, gamers have been treated to trailers providing a glimpse of the game's universe filled with over 18 quintillion planets to explore.
With such a huge potential, it's no surprise that "No Man's Sky" is one of the most hotly-anticipated games today. Could Murray finally reveal its release date?
"Given the team's prior relationship with The New Yorker, it's possible that this festival might be when said details are revealed," D&T said.
And it's not like video games are a regular part of the festival either. As iDigitalTimes pointed out, "it's very rare that the New Yorker does something like this for a game."
Being a cultural event, the website speculated that the preview that will be shown at the New Yorker "will be a bit more artistically focused, and less interested in the gameplay."
Still, it could mean that the "No Man's Sky" release date could be coming soon.
