'Arrow' Season 4 Release Date, Spoiler, & More: Arsenal Will Return & May Appear In 'The Flash' & LoT

| By

There is one missing key cast member that fans will not see when "Arrow" season 4 release date arrives.

Colton Haynes' Roy Harper, a.k.a. Arsenal, has given up his costume and bow and arrows in the third season to help free Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) from prison for being suspected as the Arrow.

Harper took the fall for the Emerald Archer and played dead to escape the authorities. To make that more believable, he has to leave the city for good.

Roy Harper will not be featured in the "Arrow" season 4 premiere but don't be surprised if he reappears in the middle or end part of the current season. Haynes confirmed it himself that he and his character returning to the CW Network TV series is possible.

"I just finished a very, very sad movie," Haynes told the press in the recently concluded Asia Pop Comic Con (as reported by Inquirer).

"But I'm about to go into two other projects and then, yeah, you know, find some time to maybe step back into...["Arrow"]"

The Canadian star also teased he might be in "The Flash" and "Legends of Tomorrow", to other superhero shows that were spun from "Arrow."

"It's one call away, so yeah. You will definitely be seeing me back on "Arrow" and possibly a few of the spinoff shows (Arsenal on "The Flash?" Yes, please!), so yeah."

Haynes was also pressed to speak more bout "The Flash" appearance.

"Are you putting words in my mouth?" he jokingly replied. "Let's just say I would love to, and if it happens, it's going to blow everyone's minds. If it happens."

"Arrow" season 4 release date is Oct. 7 and the story will start with remaining members of Team Arrow comprised of Diggle, Roy Harper's ex girlfriend Thea, and Laurel who ask Oliver Queen to return to city due to an enormous threat named Damien Darhk. This new big bad is described by showrunners as someone who is more dangerous than the bad guys Team Arrow faced before.

Darhk has also been in Starling City for three months, making Oliver's need to return more urgent.
