Tom Hiddleston Excitedly Welcomes ‘Crimson Peak’ Director Guillermo Del Toro To Twitter!

| By

Tom Hiddleston couldn't help but celebrate "Crimson Peak" director Guillermo Del Toro's decision to join Twitter!

Even though the Internet darling is busy promoting his two other movies at the Toronto International Film Festival, he still had time to welcome the famous director on the microblogging site.

"Guillermo Del Toro is on Twitter: @RealGDT !" he posted, along with a hilariously fitting photo of the two of them together at the San Diego Comic Con.

As for the "Pacific Rim" director's first tweet, he adorably promised to use Twitter often and even called out posers on the site.

"Hi- this is really me," he began. "Some others were posting with my name (God knows why?) so- here I am. I don't really use it much but I'll try!"

The tweet already has over 3,000 likes and more than 4,000 favorites as of press time.

Tom Hiddleston's love for the "Crimson Peak" helmer didn't stop there. He followed up his tweet with a call to fans for a question and answer session with him and co-star Jessica Chastain for the upcoming gothic film. And they will reportedly talk about their characters as well as the "Pan's Labyrinth" director.

"#CrimsonPeak Q&A tomorrow!" he said. "Looking forward to talking all about Thomas & Lucille Sharpe, Gothic Romance & Guillermo."

Would they talk about the suggested incest underlying the sibling's relationship?

He previously talked about his character's "very deep connection" with Lucille (Chastain) to iO9.

"The thing about gothic romance is, there's always a sexuality at play," he previously shared. "And incest has been something that's been hinted at by other novels in the genre."

He added, "It's an interesting dynamic. They're a brother and a sister who've orphaned, and they're in this big old house, and they have a very deep connection. But there's a lot of other romantic elements in the film, too."

Find out how incestuous Thomas and Lucille's relationship really is when Tom Hiddeston's "Crimson Peak" film premieres in the US this Oct. 16.
