"Suits" season 5 episode 10, also known as the mid-season finale, just dropped the bomb that most fans of the USA Network TV series fear the most.
Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) has been revealed as fraud lawyer in the last few minutes of the show. He was arrested by the police and that was the last seen from him.
Being a con lawyer is a burden Mike has been carrying ever since he stepped on the Pearson-Hardman law firm (now Pearson-Spectre-Litt).
This fraud act of his also negatively affect his friends around. When he was arrested in "Suits" season 5 episode 10, does this mean the monkey in his back is gone? Is getting arrested a good thing for him? Showrunner Aaron Korsh believes Mike Ross does not think that way but cannot deny that point of view is interesting.
"He probably isn't going to think so," Korsh said in an interview with TV Guide last month.
"One of the things I was thinking about was Trevor basically tells him that what he is doing is eating away at his peace of mind. When you are doing something and you are always worried you are going to get caught, it's always hanging over your head. Ironically, once you get caught, that thing isn't hanging over your head anymore. You're going to have to get through the other side of that before you can probably feel that it's a good thing. It's possible that Mike can feel in an X amount of time that it was a good thing."
"Suits" season 5 episode 10 also saw Mike getting closer to his wedding with Rachel (Meghan Markle). Although they still meet a lot of obstacles, the two vow to keep going. However, with this latest setback, it seems the wedding will get delayed.
"That's a good question. They're certainly not gonna have it in the same form," Korsh said when asked if Mike-Rachel wedding is still a go.
"We are working on that. That's a good one. I can't spoil it because I don't know the answer!"
"Suits" season 5 return is on January.
