Shocking 'Attack On Titan' Season 2 Spoilers Prior To Release Date Revealed! Series Will Be The Last?

While fans are still waiting for "Attack on Titan" season 2 release date to officially arrive, reports of spoilers have become rampant.

According to Kpopstarz there are actually a number of sources claiming that the next season will see the death of the anime's major character.

There's an speculation that Captain Levi Ackerman will finally meet his end when "Attack on Titan" season 2 arrives.

And while such spoiler has yet to be confirmed, Latin Times noted PIXISSUUU magazine's claim that the second installment to the manga will most likely adapt manga's chapter 73, where it will see the death of Captain Levi while trying to save the new squad called, Shiganshina trio.

In addition to spoilers claiming the death of Captain Levi, "Attack on Titan" season 2 will also reportedly feature more of Ymir and Krista Lenz's story.

And as details of "Attack on Titan" season 2 begin to circulate, Crunchy Roll reported that the anime will most likely have a release date next year.

"The anime is set to return to TV to continue the adaptation of Hajime Isayama's hit manga in 2016," the publication reported.

Meanwhile, VC Post added that that director Testsuro Araki already confirmed that "Attack on Titan" season 2 release date is indeed happening in 2016.

However, with all these news coming, comic series editor, Kawakubo Shintaro revealed to Japanese site Antenna, that the "end was in sight" for "Attack on Titan."

However, Crunchyroll pointed out that there's actually still three years worth of story left in the manga, thus there's no need for the fans to panic.

Below is the official synopsis to "Attack on Titan" season 2.

"Several hundred years ago, humans were nearly exterminated by titans. Titans are typically several stories tall, seem to have no intelligence, devour human beings and, worst of all, seem to do it for the pleasure rather than as a food source.

A small percentage of humanity survived by walling themselves in a city protected by extremely high walls, even taller than the biggest of titans."

"Attack on Titan" season 2 release date is said to arrive in 2016.
