While 5 Seconds of Summer band members have reportedly strictly implied a "no girlfriend" policy, it seemed like the band's drummer, Ashton Irwin has no plans of keeping it.
Following numerous rumors and speculations, the 21-year-old Aussie artist has reportedly decided to introduce his girlfriend to the world.
According to Unreality TV, Irwin admitted to Sugarscape that he spent a quality time with his girlfriend.
"I went into the desert with my girlfriend at the time for two days or something, and I was like 'Okay, I have to be back by Monday morning because I have a writing session at John's,'" he said of their new 5SOS single as he admitted that he indeed has a girlfriend.
Adding, "She's Kinda Hot."
Furthermore, Ashton Irwin also revealed that his inspiration to the new 5SOS single has been his girlfriend, Bryana Holly.
"The place itself [Los Angeles] feels really magical... I even met a girl over there and fell in love. Things like that contributed to making this album. It felt unreal, and before we knew it, we'd recorded everything and it was time to go on tour," the 5SOS drummer told Rolling Stone.
And while most of the band's fans have seen this coming, some are still shocked that he admitted that he's already involved with someone.
In a previous interview with Movie News Guide, Irwin's bandmates, Michael Clifford and Calum Hood previously claimed that all of them were single.
"We all are [single] I believe," Michael Clifford announced.
Calum Hood agreed saying, "We all carry the same flag."
And while Ashton Irwin seems to be on cloud nine with his girlfriend, the 5SOS drummer admitted that his life was not always happy.
The young musician admitted to succumbing to depression as he posted a very inspirational message to his fans who are suffering from mental depression.
"Some days your head will be a whirlpool of depression and anxiety! In those days you gotta breath & focus on everything great in life!" He tweeted.
Adding, "You aren't on your own!!! You can find the greatest things in life in the smallest and simplest things, you just gotta take a moment."
Ashton Irwin is known to be a major supporter of people who are suffering with anxiety and other emotional distress.
In a report by Sugarscape Irwin was said to have posted a message to his followers who are suffering from bullying.
"No matter how nasty people are in life... Show kindness, smile through it and love, laugh, be good people, just cause you can," he previously wrote.
