Will ‘Minority Report’ TV Series Be As Successful As The Film? [WATCH] The Trailer Here

The "Minority Report" TV series doesn't plan on getting buried by all the upcoming film adaptations this Fall.

The new Fox series is number 13 in Slash Film's most anticipated series premiere for the Fall lineup. The review noted that "the appeal of the Minority Report world meeting the crime procedural genre of television" can't be ignored.

However, with a weekly case set-up, the series also faces the challenge of becoming repetitive and dull over time.

Serving as a sequel for the 2002 sci-fi film which starred Tom Cruise, the new show follows one of the precog twins 10 years after disabling the Precrime Unit. In the film, they were given a chance to live normal lives by the end of the movie.

Unlike the other two, however, one precogs can't seem to fall into a "normal" life after being released.

Dash (Stark Sands) can stop images of future crimes from plaguing his consciousness. However, he can't seem to get there on time since only his twin brother has the skill to hear it as it happened. But then, his twin brother, Arthur (Nick Zano from "90210"), has no interest in saving people.

Having no choice, Dash approached cop Lara Vega (Meagan Good from "Californication") to help him save lives.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the cast is "solid" with Sands as a stand out.

"He is able to balance the agony Dash endures because of his powers with a credible altruism and an often humorous lack of self-awareness," the article continued.

Produced by 20th Century Fox, Paramount Television, and Amblin Television, the "Minority Report" TV series is reportedly a "drama of crime and conspiracy" as well as "a timeless story of connection" between Dash and Vega.

Comingsoon.net reported that Dash and Vega will find "friendship, purpose and redemption in each other."
