German tuning house Brabus unveiled a host of Tesla Model S styling mods including sporty aerodynamic enhancements to the EV's bodywork under its Zero Emission division at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.
The Model S gets a front lip spoiler which is designed to reduce lift on the front axle at high speeds. Side air intake add-ons give the EV "an even more distinctive appearance," according to Brabus. Over at the back, a rear diffuser optimizes air deflection and lends it "a touch of racing flair."
The aerodynamic bodykit is available in carbon-fiber with either a gloss or matte coating. Brabus said the components were developed using CAD technology and 3D scanning.
Also available are Brabus Monoblock Y Platinum Edition forged wheels tailor-made for the Model S.
"The rims of size 9Jx21 at all four corners make optimal use of the available space under the wheel arches," Brabus said.
Front tires are 255/35 R 21 while 265/35 R 21 tires sit on the back wrapped in Pirelli, Continental or Yokohama rubber.
Brabus Zero Emission Tesla Model S styling mods also extend to the interior. Options include Alcantara, leather, suede with matching dash and seat color options.
"Zero Emission also offers tailor-made genuine carbon and wood trims sets for the cockpit of the electric luxury sedan. These trim sets also come in an unmatched variety of colors and surface finishes."
Best known for tuning Mercedes and Bentleys, Brabus didn't mention any performance upgrades to the Model S sedan. However, it did say that the customization program "will be expanded continuously."
"That means the 691bhp P85D's performance could be boosted even further, although we're not sure how much more the two-ton saloon has to give," AutoExpress said.
Then again, Tesla does offer its own "Ludicrous Mode" performance upgrade which takes the EV from 0 to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds.
Per the website, Brabus' Tesla Model S mods can be applied to the EV's entire range from the standard 70D to the P85D. Check out the range of options at the Brabus website.
