Johnny Depp threatened Australia's agriculture minister during his appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," after his wife was sued for allegedly smuggling their pet dogs to Australia.
In May, Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's pets became the center of attention after the Australian government discovered them within the couple's residence, rumored to have bypassed the legal process needed to import animals.
During his appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 52-year-old Johnny Depp joked that he will punch Australia's agriculture minister, Barnaby Joyce if his wife, Amber Heard, is sent to jail.
"If they did that I'd fly to Australia and assault that man (Joyce). So that I could go to jail," the actor quipped.
Despite his statement meant to be a joke, Johnny Depp previously slammed the Australian official, calling him a "weird, sweaty-pated gut man."
This after Barnaby Joyce threatened to euthanize Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's Yorkshire terrier dogs, Boo and Pistol.
"There is a process if you want to bring animals: you get the permits, they go into quarantine and then you can have them," Joyce said last May.
"But if we start letting movie stars - even though they've been the sexiest man alive twice - to come into our nation (and break the law), then why don't we just break the laws for everybody? It's time that Pistol and Boo buggered off back to the United States."
"Just because he's Johnny Depp doesn't make him exempt from Australian laws," Joyce added. "The way this works is if we are going to make an excuse for Johnny Depp because he's got a private jet and brought in his dogs then I suppose you have to start making exemptions and excuses for everybody,"
On the other hand, Johnny Depp told Jimmy Kimmel that they were under the impression that they had accomplished the correct documents to bring their pets in the country.
"We were under the impression we had the correct paper work for the dogs, we were there with the dogs in front of everybody," the actor said. "If that's legal trouble, it's by far the most interesting I've ever experienced."
