After she decided to leave "NCIS," fans have never stopped asking for the return of Ziva David (Cote de Pablo) in the series.
And as season 13 draws near, fans can't help but hope that this will finally be the season where their beloved Ziva will return.
Together with her possible return could it be possible that Ziva and Agent Tony DiNozzo rekindle their romance?
As Tony bade his final goodbye to Ziva when he said "Aht lo leh-vahd," fans are now going crazy hearing news that the two could finally get together again.
Talking to TVLine, Michael Weatherly teased that a guest star in "NCIS" season 13 will leave fans at the edge of their seats.
"I have come to understand that there will be, later in the year, some guest stars that will melt the avid NCIS viewer's brain."
The actor, who plays Tony DiNozzo, couldn't be possibly talking about Ziva David's return, could he?
As Weatherly never mentioned the named, fans immediately speculated or moreso, hoped that it could be Cote de Pablo he's talking about.
While, Gary Glasberg also refused to drop names of "NCIS" season 13 guests, he only assured that, "We've got some really fine guest spots that aren't locked in yet."
Although Ziva's return remains to be a mystery, Cote de Pablo talked to TVLine to discuss the possibility of his character returning to "NCIS" season 13.
"I think the fact that they never killed the character off is very telling," the 35-year-old Chilean-American actress said. "Under the right circumstances, I think it could definitely be explored."
Additionally, Cote de Pablo admitted that she felt that her exit from "NCIS" was rather "rushed."
"I would have liked a little bit of closure," she explained.
"But I think all in all I could not be more blessed, because I got a chance to be with my 'love,' Michael [Weatherly, who plays Tony]. Any time you put Michael and I together there's going to be a spark, and there's going to be real honesty, and for that I am forever grateful. Because in that sense there was a sense of conclusion as far as what [the characters] felt for each other."
"NCIS" season 13 premiere episode will debut on Sept. 22 at 8pm on CBS.
