"The Flash" season 2 release date is coming and other than the continuation of the story of Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), what fans can expect from the show are crossovers.
The hit superhero show had two crossover episodes with its sister series "Arrow" and according to its executive producers, these crossover episodes will become annual event.
Some "The Flash" and "Arrow" characters are also expected to appear in another series called "Legends of Tomorrow" which will debut next year.
So far, those who are confirmed to appear in LoT are Grant Gustin and Stephen Amell. For Candice Patton who plays Iris West opposite Gustin, the opportunity to appear in "Legends of Tomorrow" will be great. In fact, she would die to see that happen.
"Not that I know of...but I would die to do that!" she said during an interview with members of the press during the DragonCon in Atlanta.
"I don't know, that would be an interesting story. There are no plans for that though...yet."
"The Flash" season 2 release date is just a few weeks away and when that time comes, Iris West will be different from what was seen from her in the first season.
She will have a more active role in STAR Labs but cleared it is not something like a leader as what previous reports said.
"Yeah, I get Google Alerts about that," she said when asked to elaborate about Iris West's new role.
"Things like 'Iris West: New STAR Labs leader' and it's just like oh, God [laughs]. No, she's not going to be the new Wells of STAR Labs."
Patton said the Iris West in season two is someone who will show care to her friends in this time of challenge.
"She's the one of the few people that can really talk to Barry and rally people when they need to be rallied," she explained.
"There's a part early on in season two when she needs to do that...and get STAR Labs back in their footing. That's her role as a leader in that sense."
