"The Big Bang Theory" star Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting and "Modern Family" actress Sofia Vergara top Forbes Highest-Paid TV Actresses list for 2015.
Comedy TV dominates the list of highest paid television actresses this year with Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting and Sofia Vergara banking in about $28.5 million each.
The said calculations were of the actresses' pretax earnings from June 1, 2014 to June 1, 2015.
According to Forbes, Cuoco-Sweeting and Vergara's total income this year can be attributed to their respective TV shows, "The Big Bang Theory" and "Modern Family."
Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, along with her "The Big Bang Theory" co-stars Johnny Galecki and Jim Parsons, reportedly make $1 million per episode of the hit CBS show, beginning "TBBT's" season 8 until season 10.
To add up to Cuoco-Sweeting's salary is her endorsement contract with Priceline.com where she was joined by William Shatner.
On the other hand, Sofia Vergara tops the list for the fourth consecutive year, all thanks to her movie deals and her own talent management company.
Joining Vergara and Cuoco-Sweeting in the list are the former's "Modern Family" co-star, Julie Bowen who reportedly earned $12 million; "Grey's Anatomy's" Ellen Pompeo who earned $11.5 million and Mariska Hargitay of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" at $11 million.
"Parks & Recreation's" Amy Poehler and Julianna Margulies of "The Good Wife" both tie at $10.5 million apiece.
Other comediennes also made it to the list, including Mindy Kaling ("The Mindy Project") at $9 million, Zooey Deschanel ("New Girl") at $5 million and Tina Fey ("Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt") at $6.5 million.
Despite their huge pay, Forbes recognized the lack of cultural diversity on television and the TV actresses' significant pay gaps as compared to their male counterparts.
"Hopefully as America begins to welcome more television shows featuring primarily Hispanic or African American characters, the paychecks of these actresses will catch up," Madeline Berg reported for Forbes.
