‘Merlin’ And ‘iZombie’ Star Bradley James Joins ‘Underworld 5’ Cast! Will He Be A Villain?

| By

"Merlin" star Bradley James is slowly making his presence known in Hollywood. From stealing viewers' hearts in "iZombie," the British actor has now joined the "Underworld 5" cast!

According to Deadline, the English heartthrob already finished filming the first season for his new American horror series, "Damien," a TV series follow-up to the iconic horror film, "The Omen."

It looks like his next project won't be so hard to settle into since he will reportedly be playing a male villain in the next instalment of Kate Beckinsale's vampire movie franchise.

While his schedule has reportedly been opened to join Beckinsale and Theo James in the "Underworld 5" cast, it's still unclear whether he's going to portray a vampire, a werewolf or a hybrid in the new film.

The fifth film will find Selene (Beckinsale) caught in the struggle between a new generation of vampires and werewolves, according to Hypable. This will reportedly be Beckinsale's last movie for the franchise.

The Anna Foerster-directed film will start shooting in Prague next month.

James isn't new to playing supernatural characters. In fact, he was quick to steal and break hearts as a tragic zombie musician in the first season of the CW's "iZombie." He played Liv Moore's (Rose McIver) first zombie boyfriend, Lowell. No matter how sweet and lovable he was, however, he was killed off the show after appearing for just a couple of episodes. Nevertheless, his short-lived presence in the series helped him gain an American following.

His new series on A&E, on the other hand, seems to be the most challenging role for the British star. He will be portraying a grown-up Damien Thorne, the son of the devil, from the iconic 1976 film "The Omen."

He also portrayed King Arthur in "Merlin" which lasted for four seasons on the BBC.

Will Bradley James stick around for the Kate Beckinsale- starring franchise after joining the "Underworld 5" cast? Hypable certainly hopes so.
