Kristen Stewart isn't really comfortable talking about her relationships, but she recently opened up about her breakup with Robert Pattinson.
The two met and fell in love on the set of "The Twilight Saga" trilogy, but they broke up after the actress' cheating scandal with director Rupert Sanders emerged.
The 25-year-old actress and the 29-year-old actor appeared to have finally moved on with their life - with Kristen rumored to be dating Alicia Cargile and Robert reportedly engaged to FKA Twigs. However, the brunette beauty hinted that she's still heartbroken over her ex-boyfriend.
During an interview with The Daily Beast, Stewart opened up about her past relationship with Pattinson and how her experience helped her portray her character in Drake Doremus' latest film "Equals."
The film also stars Nicholas Hoult, who also came out of a high-profile breakup with Jennifer Lawrence.
"It was incredibly painful," Kristen confessed.
"Ugh, fucking kill me. It was a really good time for both of us to make this movie. Not all of my friends have been through what I've been through, or what some people have tasted at a relatively-speaking young age, and we were not expected to do anything," she explained. "Everything that we did was explorative, and a meditation on what we already knew."
"Equals" is a futuristic love story that was set in a world where emotions have been eradicated. Kristen Stewart stars as Nia whom everyone stalks about while Nicholas Hoult plays her co-worker who fell in love with her. Robert Pattinson's former lover also explained that it's not that easy to get over someone like most people think.
"If you've been hurt - you know when you've broken up with someone and you look at someone walking down the street holding hands and think, 'Ugh, give it a fuckin' year. Let me know how you feel in a year, ugh, I don't' believe in that,'" she admitted.
"Well if we did our jobs right, then it would be to remind you that you can definitely get back to that, and how hard, amazing, and life-fulfilling those feelings were in the very beginning," the controversial actress added.
While Kristen Stewart openly admitted how painful it was breaking up with Robert Pattinson, the actor was rumored to have put his wedding on hold because of his ex-girlfriend.
"Rob told pals that he misses the wild life he had with Kristen," an insider told Celeb Dirty Laundry.
"Twigs is her polar opposite, which is part of the reason Rob loves her, but he can't help but miss all of the spur-of-the-moment things that he used to do with Kristen."
