Microsoft sends out its invites for its Windows 10 based devices which include Lumia 950 and Lumia 920 XL.
The said event will be held at Skylight at Moynihan Station. It will be open for all tech analysts and press as doors open at 9:00 am. Also, a company spokesman confirmed to ZDNET that the event will be livestreamed, URL will be announced soon.
Though the invite didn't mention what devices will debut at the event. Promiment gadget leakster Evan Blass already dished out on Twitter that Microsoft will introduce its first Windows 10 flasghip smartphones, the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL dubbed as the "Talkman" and "Cityman" respectively, IB Times reported.
The "Cityman" as the larger variant will come in Matte White or black polycarbonate body and 5.7-inch WQHD (1440x2560) OLED display, Snapdragon 810, 64-bit Octa core paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot, 20MP PureView rear camera with triple LED flash and 5MP wide angle selfie snapper, 1mm silver ring inside the circumference of the black camera pod and 3300 mAh battery.
On the other hand, "Talkman" will sport a 5.2-inch WQHD (1440x2560) OLED display and an inferior processor of 64-bit Hexa core Snapdragon 808, The Verge reported.
Both phones are said to feature Iris scanner (infrared) for Windows Hello and biometric authentication, Qi wireless charging support and USB Type-C connector.
Along with the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL, Microsoft is rumored to unveil the new Surface Pro 4, Band 2 and Xbox One Mini, IB Times reported.
However, previously Phil Spencer shoots down Xbox One Mini rumors as cited by Attack of the Fanboy. So, the Xbox One Mini should already be taken down from the list of expected devices on Oct. 06.
