Christian Bale gave fans a treat when he took on a darker, grungier version of Batman in "The Dark Knight" movies.
Another all-American superhero that was portrayed by a Brit was Superman. Henry Cavill will be coming back as Clark Kent's alter-ego on "Batman Vs Superman" in 2016.
Then there's Edward Cullen from "Twilight," who was played by British heartthrob Robert Pattinson. Meanwhile, another popular book-to-screen film, "50 Shades Of Grey," casted another English gentleman for its lead. Jamie Dornan's performance may have been contested by some fans but he still made women's hearts flutter as Christian Grey.
He may be getting replaced but Andrew Garfield's time as Peter Parker in "The Amazing Spider-Man" movies can't easily be swept under the rug.
