The alleged Samsung Galaxy S7 showed up on benchmarking site after Apple iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus launch.
The series leaks of the Samsung Galaxy S7 internally referred as "Project Lucky" might prove the existence of an ultimate flagship of 2016. As the iPhone 6s and its companion went official recently, new leak emerged about the Samsung Galaxy S7.
Dubbed as "Project Lucky" it was spotted at Geekbench running on Snapdragon Qualcomm 820, along with the Antutu benchmark, the device in testing is listed with 5.7in QHD touchscreen, 16-megapixel main camera, a 5-megapixel front camera, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, Business Insider reported.
Interestingly, Samsung might finally bring back the expandable storage on its next flagship which has been missing on the Samsung Galaxy S6 through flash storage called "UFS 2.0."
"Our insiders tell us that the Galaxy S7 is being tested with Samsung's screaming fast UFS 2.0 storage, but the company might have found a way to make it work with SD cards. As we explained earlier this year, the memory controller on SD cards and the UFS 2.0 storage aren't compatible with each other, making it impossible for them to co-exist on the same device," an insider revealed, cited by Inquistr.
"Samsung probably is trying out interfacing techniques to get around the limitation, though it would be best to not get too hopeful that the final product will bring back expandable storage to Samsung's flagship line."
Meanwhile, rumors suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S7 will come into two screen variants of 5.2-inch variant and a bigger 5.8-inch variant. The flagship device will feature 4K display, according to GForGames, However it is still unclear whether these two variants will feature the same resolution, while others claim that Samsung might water down the smaller version's resolution.
IB Times added that the Samsung Galaxy S7 might get a 2016 release just in time for the MWC 2016.
