A few months ago, Hugh Jackman confirmed that "Wolverine 3" will be the last time that he'll play Logan which surprised many of his fans.
During his appearance at "The Dr. Oz Show," the 46-year-old actor explained why he needs to give up the claws.
"Let's be honest, 17 years. I never thought in a million years it would last this long," Jackman said. "I'm so grateful to the fans and for the opportunity of playing him, and I love it. I kind of have, in my head, what we're going to do in this last one, and it just feels like this is the perfect way to go out."
"Wolverine 3" is scheduled for release in 2017 and many people are wondering what's next for Hugh Jackman. There are rumors coming out that he'll be the next James Bond. It all started when he was interviewed by Australian news show "The Project."
The Sydney-born actor was asked if he would accept the role of Agent 007.
"I'd seriously consider it," he said as reported by Fashion N Style.
The star of "X-Men" also revealed that he had been offered the role but he declined because he was still filming "X2."
"I was like, 'Ah, I don't think it's the right time,'" Jackman said. "But it was not an easy one to give up."
The latest installment of the "James Bond" franchise is "Spectre" and there have been reports that this will be the last time that Daniel Craig will play the secret agent.
During an interview with Esquire UK, the British actor was asked if he has plans to do another "James Bond" movie.
"At this moment, no. I have a life and I've got to get on with it a bit. But we'll see," Craig said. Film producer Barbara Broccoli also addressed the rumors that Daniel Craig will be replaced by another actor.
"I think it's always like asking a woman, who is going up the aisle, who her next husband is going to be," she said as reported by Cinema Blend.
"Daniel Craig is Bond. So ask me when we're looking for a new Bond, which will hopefully not be for a long time." Maybe they are just waiting for Hugh Jackman to finish "Wolverine 3" before they offer the role to him again.
