"Big Bang Theory" and former "Blossom" star Mayim Bialik hopes blogging about her divorce will help others cope with the ordeal, according to Access Hollywood.com.
"To me, it was a very cathartic, very emotionally powerful sense of closure for us," Bialik told "Access Hollywood". "It's very intense. So I wrote for Kveller about some of those aspects in hopes to kind of maybe [be] helpful to other people or other women."
Bialik also intends to inspire people on some of the complexities of divorce as it relates to her religion.
"I wanted to write about some of the more complicated aspects. And specifically, also, there's certain things [related] to Jewish divorce that people don't know about," she told "Access Hollywood". "There's something called a 'Get." "There's a religious process. You sit in the same room and you watch your divorce deed be written. It's actually a very interesting thousands year old document that you watch written and you have to be in the same room as your ex."
Bialik, who used to star on the television show "Blossom" told ABC News she is not a fan of going through a divorce.
"Divorce is not fun and I don't recommend it, but kids are absolutely resilient and they are also very sensitive and complicated little people," she said. "So, it's been a summer of adjustment, but I'm happy to report they are doing really well. Their dad is doing well and we communicate really well."
Before filing for a divorce in November, and making it official in May, Bialik and Stone were married for nine years and have two sons; 7-year-old Miles and 4-year-old Frederick.
