Will ‘Heroes Reborn’ Be One Of This Fall’s ‘Biggest’ TV Hit? More Info On The 2-Hour Premiere

| By

Judging by the reception that "Heroes Reborn" got during the San Diego Comic Con last July, fans and nerds are certainly excited to see a continuation of the NBC cult classic - even without its original fan favorites.

Milo Ventimiglia (Peter Petrelli), Hayden Panetierre (Claire Bennett), and Zachary Quinto (Sylar) won't be coming back for the revival but new faces will be making viewers' Thursday nights exciting. New cast members like Zachary Levi, Robbie Kay, and Ryan Guzman will be joining the new set of superheroes this Fall.

Fans won't be too shocked though. Other memorable characters from the original "Heroes" series, like Jack Coleman (Noah Bennett), The Haitian (Jimmy Jean-Louis) and Masi Oka (Hiro Nakamura) will be reprising their old roles.

However, will Tim Kring's reboot be making the same impact as "Heroes" did some five years ago or will it be buried by the hundreds of superhero-themed series on TV today?

According to Outer Places, industry experts have reportedly tried to found which of the over 20 new shows will become a hit this Fall based on "'awareness' and 'intent to watch' data."

The study also counted the number of followers a show's official Twitter page has attracted to measure the show's popularity prior to its premiere.

Based on the data gathered, "Heroes Reborn" is one of the "future hits" from the onslaught of freshman shows.

ABC's "Supergirl" was also touted as a "future hit" even with the leak of its pilot episode. "Limitless," "Blindspot" and "Ash VS Evil Dead," meanwhile, were "looking good."

Unfortunately, the sequel-like series, "Minority Report" didn't get that much interest from the TV-viewing public.

"While the original 'Heroes' show may have irked fans with its conclusion, the brand name has helped this sequel show garner some serious recognition points," the article read, adding that the steady stream of teasers, posters, and spoilers - not to mention the prequel webisodes released not too long ago - served its purpose in making people excited for the revival.

Will the second time be the charm for the NBC show? Viewers will have to find out when "Heroes Reborn" airs on Sept. 24.
