Several ladies were touted to become Prince Harry's next girlfriend after Prince Charles' youngest son announced his desire to settle down in May.
There have been several candidates for the position, including "Harry Potter" famed actress Emma Watson and "Doctor Who" star Jenna Coleman. Both rumors, though exciting, never really came into fruition.
The prince then went to Africa on an expedition to save as much of the wildlife as he can. According to reports, however, he wasn't just able to save the animals and the environment during the trip. He seemed to have rekindled his romance with ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy as well.
The Sun reported that the former flames met each other again in Africa last month during Prince Harry's three-month conservation tour.
"Harry still holds a candle for her. Chelsy has his heart," an insider allegedly told the paper. "They saw each other recently. There's still very much something between them, but Chelsy won't commit yet because she doesn't want to lead a life in the spotlight. Harry's very sensitive to that."
With her past trepidation, however, is Davy ready to become Prince Harry's girlfriend again or possibly his wife in the future?
The couple met in 2004 and dated on and off until 2011. The 30-year-old royal later dated model and actress Cressida Bonas for two years but broke up in 2014.
"He has never fallen out of love with Chelsy," the source continued to add. "She's not like other girls; she's strong, independent, and a rule-breaker. She does everything on her own terms."
After nearly five years apart, could they be ready to take their romance into a more serious level?
After all, he will be spending more time in Africa to help out with the conservation project in November and December. He also admitted that he wanted to make his African tour a more consistent part of his life.
The source added that it was "no coincidence that Harry decided to spend more time in Africa later this year."
Do you think Chelsy Davy should become Prince Harry's girlfriend again?
