There will be a six months time jump from the first season finale of "The Flash" to its pilot episode in the second season.
This was confirmed by Danielle Panabaker who plays Caitlin Snow. Fans are excited about "The Flash" season 2 release date but there is another they are hoping to come soon.
Panabaker's character is the alter ego of DC villain Killer Frost and it has been teased in last season's finale that she will transform into a bad person.
Killer Frost was seen in one of the images that were flashed while Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) was running inside the singularity.
The actress knows Killer Frost is going to happen. However, she does not have an idea when will it take place.
"No one is more excited for Caitlin to become Killer Frost than I am," Panabaker told Collider in an interview where she also details of what to expect when "The Flash" season 2 release date arrives.
"Unfortunately I don't know when that will happen on the show. The writers will say, 'Well this is what's going to happen. We're looking forward to this."
Panabaker said the show changed to the script from time to time, making it hard to guess what the next move will be by the writers.
"This is what we're thinking.' And then scripts evolve, sometimes they don't make it into the script as soon as you hope, sometimes we shoot things that don't even make it into the show," she said.
Adding, "I think our season finale was [an extra] 20 minutes long, so that's 20 minutes of stuff that they cut out of storylines. Little things, like they explained how Caitlin asked Barry to go get her wedding dress, and they explained the toilets in the pipeline, and that sort of thing. But since we only have 42, 44 minutes, some stuff just sort of falls to the cutting-room floor. Long story short, I'm useless in terms of Killer Frost. I want it to happen very, very badly. Unfortunately I don't know that it's happening yet."
Killer Frost is definitely going to happen, that is something fans can hold on to. Proof to that is another TV Line spoiler. However, it might not be exactly a good news.
"Caitlin's new hubby Ronnie "is going to play a big role in [her] development" - did anyone else feel a chill? - while Cisco's Vibe journey will take on "a slower burn," Stanton teased, TV Line wrote.
"The Flash" season 2 release date is Oct. 6.
