A lot of "Empire" season 2 spoilers revealed the names of big time guest stars coming to the show.
Although all these celebrities listed for the second run of the hit Fox musical drama are guaranteed to add flavor, there is one character "Empire" is keeping secret from the public and according to its showrunner, this character is the one fans should watch out for.
"I won't tell you anything about her, but... keep your eye on Laura," showrunner Ilene Chaiken told TV Line.
This new character will be played by the controversial Zendaya whose name got louder over the past months for lambasting Kylie Jenner on social media for cultural appropriations.
There is not much scoop about Zendaya's role arrival the show. There is also no fan fare or or "Empire" season 2 spoilers that trended on internet relating to her casting.
TV Line reported in June there is one "breakout role" that will get the audience hooked. This character is identified as Betty Barz, played by Siya, a "moody, outspoken" teenage, lesbian rapper.
"Betty, who's also known as 'Betty Gathers' and 'The Queen O' 16S' is described as African-American, 'unapologetically butch,' and something of a hometown hero in her 'Brownsville-Never-Ran-Never-Will, Brooklyn' neighborhood," TV Line wrote.
"Her undeniable talent has led to her winning 'more rhyme battles and girls' hearts than the best male vets on her block.' (We're guessing 'winning girls' hearts' means the new character is a lesbian, but then again, maybe that just means most of her mixtape buyers are female?)."
Aside from the must-see new character, Chaiken also assured followers that the show will continue to provide compelling and intense storyline they saw in the first season.
"All we want to do is continue to do Empire, to tell the story of this black family in a way that is relatable to all Americans of all colors, and in the most honest way that we can," she said.
"We want to continue to make the audience gasp and laugh and scream and cry."
"Empire" season 2 release date is Sept. 23.
